Famous Footwear

When Dallas Moms Blog announced their partnership with Famous Footwear for their Back to School Event for local bloggers, I knew I was in for a treat.  

Shoes, shoes & more shoes!  

And not just shoes, but the name brands and styles that my whole family loves.  They have something {or somethings} for everyone  - men, women, kids, toddlers & even infants - with brands such as Steve Madden, New Balance, Sperry, Nike, Crocs & Polo by Ralph Lauren.

We all love a bargain, right?  

There are multiple ways you can receive discounts and promotional offers - via their rewards program, via text, and there's almost always a coupon available on their website.  Right now, you can take an additional 15% off your entire purchase online or in your neighborhood store just by using the coupon on their website.

Babies need new shoes!

 And daddy does too!  

 In addition to all the fun, Famous Footwear and Nunez PR threw in a "shoe grab."  

Yes, you guessed it!  If you were one of the three lucky names to be drawn, you got 30 seconds to make a run of the store and grab as many shoes as you could {think Super Market Sweep}.  And if that wasn't wonderful enough, Famous Footwear donated the value of the shoes to a local charity to support kids and their back to school clothing and supply needs.  

Win-win if you ask me!

Although my name wasn't drawn, one of Dallas Moms Blog's own - Krystal's - was!  I must say, she made us proud by rounding up the most shoes of all three women.

Train Table

Daddy & I rarely buy toys for the boy because he gets plenty of them as gifts from our family and friends (for which we're oh-so-grateful!).  

Recently, we noticed he has outgrown many of his toys (aka. is bored with them), so after several recommendations from friends, we decided to get him a Train Table. 

Best decision ever!  The boy loves it!  He'll entertain himself for up to 20 minutes at a time.  Yes, that's a record!  

Bonus:  mom and dad even like playing with it too! 

This is the train table right after dad set it up...possibly the only time it'll be in perfect, pristine order.

 Next morning:  Love at first sight!

 First order of business - bang the trains together, of course.

 Success!

Dallas Moms Blog

Dallas Moms Blog is a wonderful resource for moms. They are passionate about our great city and all the resources within it. Their mission is to "support, encourage and connect moms living in the Dallas area."  
I've enjoyed reading their blog over the past couple of months, so when a call went out "Seeking Working Mom," I knew I wanted to apply.  
Dallas Moms Blog is a source of inspiration for me, and I wanted to be able to give that inspiration and support back to others while adding a much needed working mom's perspective. 
I know that candid feedback is so important especially for busy moms who want the best for their children and family but may not necessarily have the time, money or excess energy to try multiple products, people or places before landing on the one that works best for them. 
I'm happy to report that I've joined the Dallas Moms Blog team as a blog contributor!  We had our first face-to-face meeting last week, and I was overwhelmed by how friendly, supportive and amazing all these ladies are.  I'm truly grateful for the chance to be a part of such a fabulous group of moms!
