The Reid Report:
- No more bottle! He was down to only one bottle with milk right before bed time, but now he only drinks from a sippy cup. He's also learning to drink from a real cup (dixie cup) at school.
- Walking, running, climbing everywhere! To the detriment of his mother, the boy loves to climb!
- We typically start our bedtime routine around 7:00pm which puts him to bed by 7:30pm. For the past week, he has consistently slept past 7:00am. He usually wakes up closer to 7:30am now. With all the activity in his toddler room and only one nap {at school} during the day, he needs all the sleep he can get at night.
- With the help of the school nap schedule, he's transitioning to one long nap per day at home as well (typically between 11:30 - 2:00ish)
- The boy hates to have his diaper changed. Jeff and I are becoming masters at the art of distraction.
- He's learned to nod his head "yes," but of course he doesn't do this as often as he shakes his head "no."
- He's discovered a love for the outdoors and the grass. All of sudden, he likes walking around in the grass now.
- He also loves to stand at the window (front or back) to watch his daddy work outside in the yard.
- Favorite foods: blueberries, tomatoes, watermelon, meatballs
- Vocabulary:
- Hi (accompanied by a wave...sometimes a two-handed wave)
- Du-du (duck)
- Tee-tee (teeth)
- Ha-ee (Halley)
- Dada or daddy
- Mama
- Nanna (banana)
- No
- Still only has 8 teeth, but he's showing all signs of teething. We expect to have some new teeth "eruptions" soon! Molars, please be nice to us!
- If you catch him in the right mood, he'll run to your open arms and give you a BIG hug (we're still working on the kisses). Melts.my.heart!
- He loves to look at pictures and videos on computers and iphones.
- Last but not least, our little boy is becoming a HAM for the camera. I think we've created a monster!
