Dinner with Drakes

Being a Little Sister for the Drake Fraternity must have been fate as it gave me insight and preparation for dealing with many different male personalities.  Seems that will come in handy on a daily basis for me now!

Joey & Meghan hosted a Drake dinner at their home recently.  You may recall from this post or this post that their son, Gabriel, is exactly two weeks older than Reid.  Gabriel was born on June 1, 2011.  Now that they've moved past the parallel play stage, it is so sweet to see them play nicely together (mostly!). 

We're so excited that Joey & Meghan are expecting a baby girl in May of this year!  In fact, her due date is one day before Jack & Hunter's birthday!  

As you'll see from the last photo below, it's high time we add a GIRL to this Drake babe's club.  We're so excited!

That's Gabriel sitting behind Reid on the left hand side of the table, and the twins on the right are Alex & Will.  They are almost four years old now.  Wow, time flies!

First Visit to the Dentist

Reid recently had his very first visit to the dentist.  I must say, I was overjoyed by how well he did!

He was excited to show off his brushing skills to Dr. G.  And according to the experts, he has all 20 of his pearly whites and wonderful spacing between each one.

I can't say enough great things about this pediatric dental office and their amazing staff - from the receptionist at the front desk to the dental hygienists to Dr. G himself.  They certainly know how to make the littles comfortable in a typically uncomfortable situation.

Our old neighbors had the annual Ferndale garage sale recently, so we stopped by for a visit down nostalgia lane.

 Visit to see Dr. S, and even though only one of these boys looks as though he is not feeling well, they BOTH had ear infections.
