Tornado Alley

Thank you to all our loving friends and family who called, texted & emailed today.  It was a crazy day of tornadoes across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, but we all escaped unharmed.  Thank you, God!

Jeff and I rest a little easier knowing that Reid's school not only has back up generators for power, but they also have an underground tunnel that connects the day care to the hospital {Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas}.  In the worst case scenario, they can evacuate the children to the underground tunnel.  Fortunately, they didn't have to go to that extent today, but they did move them from their classrooms to the inner core of the Center.  Evidently in the infant rooms, they put the babies/infants together in rolling cribs in order to move them quickly and efficiently.  I would have loved to see that!  :)

They also do a wonderful job of sending mass emails to the parents with updates of their evacuation/location status.  It's certainly comforting to know that Reid was safer at school than he would have been anywhere else during such intense tornadoes and storms.

I thought I'd shoot a little video to document this crazy day in our city's weather history.

Who knew sneezing could be so much fun?

What a cute laugh, and it almost sounded like bye-bye. You go young warrior. The daycare sounds like they have everything under control, I know that must put your mind at ease when crazy things like what happened on Tuesday occur. You are truly bleesed. Hugs and Kisses.

Such cute responses Reid gives you! And I think I heard a bye-bye in there! And even a wave maybe? Good job, Reid! It is so great to hear that Reid's daycare has a plan for even the unexpected. I remember how much time, energy and research you put into finding the perfect daycare, pediatrician, etc. when I was visiting. You are doing such a great job, Sis! And Daddy, too! Love you and miss you.
