Happy 15 Months!

He's still my baby boy, but I know in my heart that who we've really brought into this world is a wonderful man.

My prayer is that he continues to contribute to society in a loving & spiritual manner for as long as he shall live.

Happy 15 months my little man!

Reid's hand gesture after his sippy cup rolled under the couch.

"Where did it go?"
"Is it under here?"
 "I don't know."
 Drop it!!!
{in case you can't tell, that toy in the boy's mouth belongs to Hudson!}

Dallas Moms Blog

Dallas Moms Blog is a wonderful resource for moms. They are passionate about our great city and all the resources within it. Their mission is to "support, encourage and connect moms living in the Dallas area."

I've enjoyed reading their blog over the past couple of months, so when a call went out "Seeking Working Mom," I knew I wanted to apply.

Dallas Moms Blog is a source of inspiration for me, and I wanted to be able to give that inspiration and support back to others while adding a much needed working mom's perspective.

I know that candid feedback is so important especially for busy moms who want the best for their children and family but may not necessarily have the time, money or excess energy to try multiple products, people or places before landing on the one that works best for them.

I'm happy to report that I've joined the Dallas Moms Blog team as a blog contributor!  We had our first face-to-face meeting last week, and I was overwhelmed by how friendly, supportive and amazing all these ladies are.  I'm truly grateful for the chance to be a part of such a fabulous group of moms!

Surprises Galore!

While the Whetstone family was in town over the Labor Day weekend, Reid & mommy got a little surprise.  Since Aunt Jamye didn't get to make it to Reid's birthday party, she waited to give him his birthday present during her most recent visit.

Although mommy loves the cute clothes and the monogrammed towel & the boy loves the bath time puppies, Aunt Jamye had Reid at the Mickey Mouse bag.  That was his favorite part of the gift.  He dragged that bag around for days.

Mommy's favorite part of the gift was actually a little gem we found at the bottom of the bag.  The pictures tell a better story than I do, so I'll shut up now.

 Surprise!

Brent being the smart man that he is - proposed to my sister.  Jamye being the smart woman she is - said YES!  Hooray!

We are so very excited for the coming year!  It goes without saying that I'm thrilled to be my little sis' Matron of Honor.  What you didn't see was the card that went along with it.  This is where we discovered that Mr. Reid will be walking down the aisle again! Maybe this time he'll be able to make the long journey all by himself.

We better start practicing!

Jamye & Brent ~

We couldn't be happier for two people who make such a beautiful, caring & loving couple, and we're thrilled to go on this journey with you.  To sisters, family, friendship & love...may you both always enjoy the same {with the exception of the sister part of course}.

Love,

Michelle

Our Lil' Cleaner Upper

I guess all those times when I thought I was singing the "Clean Up" song to myself have actually paid off!  It's the rare occasion when I can sneak up on Reid during pick up at school.  I typically can't even get the door knob turned before he notices that I've arrived.

One day last week while he was in the corner of the room preoccupied in the "kitchen" {his daddy's son}, I was able to catch a short video of his cleaning skills {his mommy's son}.

One thing to note: just before I could get the video started {blasted!}, he was actually sitting IN the basket with all the "food" items.  He had just gotten out of the basket and spilled all the food items onto the floor when I finally started taking the video.
