Gabriel's 1st Birthday
Meghan & Joey are good friends from Austin College. Last summer they moved back to Texas and have recently settled into their new home in Grapevine. We are so excited to have them so close. Gabriel was born on June 1st which makes him exactly two weeks older than Reid. The boys have had two play dates that I blogged about here and here.

Having a blast!

Sweet Olivia belongs to Kristen (also Austin College) and her husband, Dave.
Learning the art of sharing
This ball pit was a HIT!
Dimitri went to AC with us too. His daughter, Anna, is precious!
Gabriel was not feeling the birthday hat
But he was feeling the birthday cake! He knew exactly what to do.
Kris went to Austin College too. He and his wife, Michelle, have twin two year olds! The twins didn't make it to the party, but Reid hopes to meet them soon.
The boy's already showing signs that he'll be the outdoorsy type. He loves looking out windows.

1st REAL Haircut
Reid's very 1st {pseudo} haircut was in January right before his Baptism, but it was just a quick snip, snip of the hair over his ears. Today daddy got off work a little early, so we went to Snip Its for Reid's 1st real {big boy} haircut. He did SO well! He was definitely a wiggle worm, but Nadia, his very patient and friendly hairstylist, was very impressed that he didn't even cry once. Such a big boy. He was totally intrigued by what was going on though. Thankfully, there were lots and lots of bubbles. :)
Forgive the low quality photos. Mommy only had her phone camera with her. Oops!
Before
"Hmmm, wonder what this lady is planning to do with that shiny toy in her hand???"
Here we go!
"Look how good I'm being, mom!"
A little mousse to seal the deal
After
Reid's First 1st Birthday Present
Mommy & daddy gave Reid his 1st birthday present today...just a little early.
(He just couldn't wait...you know how kids are).
We had to sit him down and explain to him that since he received his birthday present from us early, he shouldn't expect to have a present to unwrap from us on his actual birthday. From the look on his face, I'd say there's a 1% chance he understood us. ;)
