Reid's Baptism

Many of Reid's family & friends gathered on Sunday to celebrate his baptism.  He had even more family & friends who weren't able to be there, but rest assured, they were with us in spirit.  For everyone's presence both in body and in spirit, we are truly blessed and grateful.

The United Methodist Church recognizes two sacraments - Holy Baptism and Holy Communion.  Although Reid isn't old enough to make the decision for himself to be a part of the family of God {or the Andersen family for that matter}, we as his parents took the oath ourselves.  We promise to nurture Reid "in Christ's holy Church" that by our "teaching and example he may be guided to accept God's grace for himself, to profess his faith openly, and to lead a Christian life."

What an extraordinary responsibility and honor.  Jeff and I are fortunate enough to not only be part of a wonderful & loving family but also a wonderful & loving church family who we are confident will be with us through this amazing journey.

Not sure what Uncle Tony is doing here, but I figure Reid will enjoy this picture one day
The secret weapon {idea taken from Parker's mommy}

"Grammie, pay attention to me!"
"I need to ask you an important question."
"About those puffs?"
Reid and Parker chatting...
...and taking a break to pose for the camera
Parker providing an anatomy lesson
"And this is his knee."
Exhausted after his big day. This was the scene a mere two minutes into our drive home.
Bright & smiley after his long afternoon nap

What a WONDERFUL day, thank you for allowing us to be part of Reid's special event. Can't believe how much he has changed in just 7 short months. I know each day is a blessing for mom and dad. We had such a fun time with your family, again Thank You bunches.
