The State Fair of Texas

In a moment of stupidity bravery, we thought it would be a good idea to take the boys to the State Fair of Texas this year.  For obvious reasons, we didn't go last year, but we knew they were all old enough to enjoy some of the fun things for kids to do there. What we didn't take into account was how incredibly CROWDED and CHAOTIC it would be since this was the last weekend (and a Saturday!) that the Fair was in town.  And this, coming from a family who is accustomed to chaos.

I'm happy I caught some of their joyful moments on camera because it will likely be 3 or 4 years before we attempt this again!

Reid's showing the Garrett twins - Ella & Wells - how to feed the animals.

Hunter wanted nothing more than to stay right here and pet this animal.  Needless to say, he was NOT happy when we finally had to break him away.  It was so very cute though (the tender petting that is….NOT the aftermath)!
Jack would rather just eat the cup.  Apparently, we don't feed the boy enough.

Hunter had no problem carrying his brother's basket for him.
To say that he loves these rides is an understatement.
Reid and this little boy (who we don't know) were so cute riding together.
Apparently, Reid got the good seat because every time they whipped around the corner, he squished this poor boy into the corner of the car.
